Guangyunda: 3D printing racing finished

Last year, Guangyunda announced that they has made an racing by using 3D printing technology. After eight months of hard work, the racing has been finished. On July 9, the car was unveiled and tested at the 2014 season new car launch of DIAN Racing at Tongji university. It is understood that the car uses more than 300 3D printed parts, accounting for about 30% of the total number of mechanical parts.

In October 2013, Guangyunda signed the cooperation framework agreement with Belgian company Materialise. Both sides planed to finished a drivable electric or solar car within one year. Among them, Materialise Belgium is responsible for providing engineering solutions for car body, interior and exterior trim and parts, as well as providing engineering and purchasing advice for car power system and suspension system. Shanghai guangyunda 3D technology Co.,Ltd is responsible for providing 3D printing solutions for car body, interior and exterior decoration and parts. After the signing of the agreement, the two sides signed the cooperation agreement with the school of automobile of Tongji university.

It is reported that the 3d printed Racing car in this cooperation will be driven by DIAN Racing team of Tongji university. In the future, Shanghai guangyunda 3D technology Co.,Ltd will be the core technology support company of the fleet and the designated partner of 3D printing and will work with Materialise China to support the team's long-term cooperation in product development and production in the 3D printing field.

Guangyunda said that the 3D printing racing project demonstrates the company's leading technology and innovation capability in the 3D printing industry, which further improved the company's 3D printing technology level in the automotive industry, effectively expanding the application of 3D printing technology in the automotive and racing fields, and has laid a solid foundation for the company to expand the scale business of 3D printing in automobile and other industries in the future.
